The Great Barrier reef is 2,600km long and the world’s largest coral reef system. It is like a maze because it has over 2,900 individual coral reefs and over 900 islands. The Great Barrier Reef can be seen form outer space.

The Daintree rainforest is a tropical rainforest. It is located on the north-east coast of Queensland. It is north of Cairns and Mossman. The rainforest is approximately 2,600km². It is also the largest continuous area of tropical rainforest in Australia.

The coldest temperature is 9°C in July. The warmest temperature is 29°C in January, February & December. The most rainfall was in February and the least rainfall was in August.
